The Prophet (peace be upon him) said in a hadith recorded in Muslim “Between a person and disbelief is discarding prayer.”
This is an authentic hadith, but one few Muslims know about or comprehend, and Mercy Mission therefore runs a whole program of calling people back to the prayer. The program seeks to engage multiple media platforms including mainstream satellite television channels, subway and street billboard advertising, lifestyle magazines, supported by a major web and social media presence, calling non-practicing Muslims back to the prayer. Videos of the Just Go Do It campaign have collectively received some 200,000 hits on YouTube.
The call back to the prayer is reinforced by numerous support tools, such as webinars, videos, seminars and lectures to support individuals on a journey of building prayer into their daily lives. Using the prayer to mobilise Muslim resources not only helps develop and mature common ground between diverse Muslim organisations, but also provides genuine and reinforced support for anyone seeking to return to the prayer and learn how to honour their commitment to their Creator.
