Mercy Mission aspires to be a movement that works diligently towards priority objectives that edge us closer to our vision. The 2010-2015 goals are based on our attempt to edge closer to our vision with a view to laying the building blocks and essential foundations to build our movement worldwide.

In order to optimise our return on investment, we have developed ambitious targets across our various priority areas. What follows is simply a flavour of some of our core Mercy Mission World agenda for the next five years.

Media and online

1 TV Channel, 1 Web TV Platform and a media team capable of producing;

  • Mainstream quality documentaries in the English language.
  • Develop a popular youth personality and characters for Muslim children
  • Major media campaigns to bring people back to Tawheed, prayer, Quran and all acts of goodness Infrastructure

1 major infrastructure project in each region, responding to the most acute local need for each region from shelters to incubation space.

Preserving the Quran goals

10,000 to benefit from Quran reading and Tajweed programs worldwide. Prepare a version of the translation of the Quran for free publication and distribution.

Dedicated on site Hifdh schools and online central Quran memorization hubs launched, to supplement a TV based Quran Tajweed program reaching out to those people who find it hardest to access localised Islamic infrastructure; notably women and specifically mothers.

Caller to Islam goals

Global convert support program launched. MyNeighbours campaigners to bring Islam and Muslims to non-Muslim communities worldwide launched in a self-funded and sustainable manner

Nurturer of the Next Generation goals

Youth empowerment programs, Muslim youth awards and youth leadership programs launched worldwide. Development of distant learning model for home schooled Muslim children and working towards at least 1 onsite Islamic school and at least 1 Islamic nursery. 10,000 parents taught about raising children and the availability of comprehensive online resources and courses for Muslim parents as well as counselors online for helping Muslim parents.

Treasurer of Baitul-Maal/Muslim enterprise goals

National Zakat Fund mechanisms launched in a minimum of 3 regions, ensuring eligible Muslims have access to the funds that they are entitled to by the community in which they live.

Medical goals

Teledoctors services launched and having helped 5 million + patients with medical advice. Launch satellite medic support services in coordination with central medical hub.
