KL Madinah.

A Centre That COMPLETES, Not Competes, Our Community.

The MM Madinah – Kuala Lumpur is designed to complement existing facilities and communities by providing a second level of support by providing specialized services to assist the english speaking Muslim community in Kuala Lumpur on issues that they are currently facing. These challenges include dealing with social issues particularly related to families and new Muslims.

While Masjids and Community Centres have excelled in front line services of the community, including salah and wudu, schools and education, the MM Madinah Kuala Lumpur will work to address the challenges and issues that affect the community in which the front line of Community centres and Masjid may not have the resources for . We are here to help relieve the burden of the centres and masjids, and ultimately the community, by re-directing some of their special need clients to our centre so that they can focus on what they can deliver in what they do best – the core services of a masjid.

New Muslims Support (“after the takbir!”)

For new Muslims, ongoing support once someone accepts Islam, has been a matter of concern for our community and the lack of such support often leads to disillusionment for the new Muslims. Our Madinah center will focus on delivering these programs to the wider community.

New Muslim Support program is a widely engaging program that will bring positive impact to the lives of those who accept Islam and start living as Muslims. Our program will enable New Muslims to be nurtured in a way that will make them feel like they are at home, prepare them to face challenges that will come on their paths while practicing Islam, empower them through education and facilitate healthy networking opportunities at the Madinah Centre. This will be a holistic program dealing with various aspects of the life of a New Muslim and it will strive to provide support and services at every level InshaAllah.

Need for the Program
We find that even though there are a lot of people accepting Islam, there is an utter failure to give sustainability to the new Muslim to maintain their Muslim identity. The lack of support from programs and shortage of resources, results in many returning to their old ways. Many New Muslims stay isolated, alienated and lose that sense of belonging. This program alleviates the difficulties that the New Muslims believe are pivotal to their lives.

Program Description
The New Muslims will go through various cycles of learning, understanding and growth. The aim of initiating this program is to establish a solid ground and a firm conviction in the heart of the New Muslims that Islam is their path to success, therefore they will be able to sustain themselves in their journey to hereafter.

Some key components of the New Muslim support program for english speakers are as follows:

  • To help New Muslims with the basic understanding of the fundamentals of Islam
  • To facilitate Network and establish New Muslim Mentorship
  • New Muslims Empowerment program
  • Companionship
  • New Muslim Support Group

Apart from providing them with education, it will also serve them to become role models in their respective identity amongst their family and community.
