Our Principles.

Mercy mission’s vision is vast, its resources limited, its hindrances enormous and its stakeholders wide and varied geographically. If we are to achieve our goals, we must learn to leverage in the truest and complete understanding of that term. We must learn to lead by example, adapt to move our agenda forward, and never stand still. We must sow the seed of social movement and help build entire fields and Dawah frontiers. We must shape government policy, and change the way the public and private companies do business with and that impact Muslims. We must engage and mobilize millions of individuals and, in so doing, help change public attitudes and behaviours. We must nurture larger networks of organizations with similar goals and collaborate rather than compete with our peers. We must spend as much time managing external relationships and influencing other groups as we should worry about building our own organizations. We must build winning brands, products and services that serve the cause of supporting our journey towards our vision.

The following 12 principles form the core upon which Mercy Mission is based:

  1. We have complete alignment and interdependency on each other
  2. We are externally focused rather than internally facing
  3. We are just, fair and respectful of every individual
  4. We inspire our team members, supporters, clientele, businesses and governments – to become agents for our cause
  5. We enjoy our work and cherish the opportunity to contribute to this cause
  6. We are creative and are pioneering in developing products and services of value
  7. Our ventures are mutually sustainable
  8. We are strategically focused on our work
  9. We seek to be the best at what we do
  10. We build strategic networks with our peers
  11. We develop grassroots programs as well as government policy advocacy
  12. We make the business world, entrepreneurs and investors work for our cause
