Nikah was performed of a New Muslim sister who had accepted Islam in Pune about two years ago. MashaAllah the bride & groom have returned to Haryana where he works in an IT company in Gurgaon.

At the Women’s shelter in Mumbai, which is also housed at the Mercy Mission Madinah, a week long Tarbiyyah programme for sisters was organised. Interactive sessions were conducted by experts from different walks of life and Islamic teachings imparted in a fun filled manner. The high point of the event was a day long session by a team of leading psychiatrists who helped the sisters take control of their lives. We hope and pray that these programmes will provide the support necessary for our sisters to lead happier, more productive lives.
