Project Management Office

Sayeem is currently helping Mercy Mission Canada set up and implement the Program Management Office (PMO). The purpose of the PMO is to help prioritize projects, set up project governance and policies, develop project and program managers through training, coaching and mentorship and create measurable criteria to ensure the success of projects. Prior to joining MMC’s PMO team, Sayeem led the Madinah Toronto project team to initiate and open the Madinah Centre in Ramadan of 2011. He also led the initial Teach for Islam (TFI) project team and is currently a part of the AlKauthar Toronto team, alhamdulillah.

He graduated from McMaster University in Engineering and Society and worked in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, and medical device industries for over 18 years as an engineering, construction and validation professional prior to entering his current role in management. He is a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in the Province of Ontario (PEO), a Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute (PMI) and a Certified Internal Trainer.

Sayeem was a part of the original MuslimFest team wherein he served as the Program Director to develop and deploy a unique Canadian Muslim Arts Festival to promote Islamic film, puppetry, art and music. He has worked extensively on the Children’s programs for the major local conferences, include ISNA Canada Conference, Journey of Faith (JOF) and Reviving the Islamic Spirit (RIS).

Sayeem’s long terms goals are to build professionalism within Islamic Organizations by helping them develop the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to be successful in this world and in the Hereafter. Currently, the focus of the PMO is to build and strengthen Mercy Mission’s shared services and programmes.

He was born in Toronto and currently resides in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
